In the first step of trouble shooting, make sure you gather information so that you can troubleshoot your electrical problem. We all do this, but instead of immediately diving in and half way attempting anything to get the equipment running, take a step back and figure out how the equipment supposed to operate. Ask yourself these questions:
1. What technical documentation is available for the equipment?
2. Is there someone familiar with similar equipment who may have experienced this same issue?
